Paris Fashion Week continues
Okay, now that we saw a few looks from Valentino, Elie Saab and the like, we can shift the focus to a few recent runways that deserve some spotlight. There’s Louis Vuitton which had an awesome funky print party situation going on, from mixing checkers and polka dots to lots of sheer action and serious jacket structure, to Miu Miu’s more beachy theme (with killer platforms and great flower headpieces).
Meanwhile, the punk princess look was very much a thing at Alexander McQueen, who mastered the balance of badass and feminine beautifully. Chokers, lace, plaid and heavy metal throughout–no fail (ever!) Chanel is always a can’t-miss classic, whose eternal tweed is…truly eternal and never gets tiring, though this time they did bring out some wild colors–and taking a walk on the wild side is never a bad thing. And if there’s someone who always slays the game in the epic print department, let’s leave that to Isabel Marant, whose floral patterns and gorgeous prints continue to become unbeatable.
And for the garden vacation vibes, try not to swoon too hard over all things Giambattista Valli, whose marriage of all things lacy and floral has been combined to perfectly embody a sense of sexy femininity and playfulness while maintaining ultimate sophistication. Who’s ready for summer part 2? And where are we going?
