We all have those days. We flip through our wardrobes, overflowing with color and prints and then without a second thought, pick out a black top and black bottom and call it a day. They don’t say « black is the new black » for nothing. But essentially, hello Springtime and bright whites.
Day one at NYFW reaffirms our monochrome fixations. Bright whites were strutted head to toe, and the all-black-everything made its mark as well. And it’s spring 2014 we are looking at here, so…of course there were some florals!
Runway shots: BCBG, Tadashi Shoji and Richard Chai Love. BCBG had a nice flowy factor going on in the collection, where whites, creams and limited prints made for a beautiful collection. Shoji described his collection as « Sweet liberation, » which was gracefully embraced by the delicateness of the silhouettes.
