Yes, New York City is filled with all things mixology cocktails and late night pizza. And these things are all lovely staples. But what about all the healthy summer options filled with greens, and juices, and all things that leave us feeling satisfied and healthy? Those are key too. And there are plenty of them. I’m heading to the city this Friday, and here are the top
places on my radar, none of which are to be missed. Hello, greens!
Siggy’s Good Food is one of the ultimate hidden gems. Nestled in the midst of Nolita and right near Overthrow boxing, which is a great sweaty place to blow off some steam, it’s the perfect lunch or dinner spot for a meat-free meal. Think vegan lasagna, it’s pasta-free and loaded with eggplant, tomato sauce, the works.
If you missed all the By Chloe Instagram shots, you’re probably living under a rock and should come out. Adorable fast-casual vegan eats in the West Village, don’t miss…everything on the menu.
Cafe Clover is another West Village necessity. Everything is delicious, the outdoor seating is perfect, and the veggie burger is truly from another planet. Get involved.
Then, there’s a fish-forward epic spot called Seamore’s, which should definitely be high on everyone’s radar if it’s not already. Aside from killer fish tacos and delicious kale salads, there’s a hidden vegan frozen yogurt on the menu, and the flavors change seasonally. Even if you’re not stopping in for a meal, you should pop by for a juice or yogurt.
Sweetgreen may seem like an obvious pick, and a very low key one, but sometimes all you want for lunch is a massive healthy salad with delicious ingredients and…baked falafel. You can have it. There are even multiple locations.
