I’m not sure what’s on everyone’s summer agenda, however…if contemplating a vacation, Croatia is an absolute must. After spending a sunny week in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, I’m already dreaming of my next trip… In terms of tourist attractions and the likes, Dubrovnik has some
ground to cover. But if you’re looking to lounge and tan with some awesome nightlife, Hvar is your calling.
Split. Sleep: Hotel Luxe. Eats: Figa, Zinfandel Food & Wine bar.
Hvar. Sleep: Hotel Riva or Hotel Adriana. (Adriana is a spa hotel, and Riva is more in the middle of the action). Eat: Mama Leona/Vita- the questionable service was overlooked because of the tasty and healthy options. (Hello almond and soy milk at Vita!), Passarola or DiVino. Party: Hula Hula for afternoon drinks (sunrise) and Carpe Diem for night! Explore: Blue or Green caves.
Dubrovnik. Eat: Azur was an interesting mix of Mediteranean and Asian (the cashew shrimp was the winner). Drink: D’Vino was a nice hideaway wine bar. Explore: take the 30 minute ferry to Lokrum, a beautiful island filled with nature and…peacocks!
PS. Croatia has pretty great wine…So definitely explore that area as well!
