Juices & Smoothies

Ah, the feeling of entering early weekdays/reality after a food and drink marathon of a weekend can sometimes feel less than ideal. But that’s what the weekends are for, right? Eating your way through town with friends and family, and going for delicious cocktails and brunches until you go to sleep Sunday

night with a slight pang in your stomach wondering why you actually needed the entire bar of dark chocolate and bottle of wine and…the rest. But that’s okay. We’re allowed to indulge! Especially when we can kick back and drink some cleansing juices and smoothies to provide somewhat of a balance. While there are endless variations of the standard green juice along with other detoxifying smoothies and beyond, here are a few recipes to get you into No-BS mode.

Start blending and sipping:

Ultimate Green Juice via TheUltimate Green Juice via The Cultureist

  • 1 bunch celery
  • 4-5 kale leaves (preferably lacinato)
  • 1 green apple
  • one big handful of flat leaf parsley leaves
  • 1 lime
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 inch of fresh ginger

Anti-Inflammatory Tonic via Mind Body Green

  • 2cm fresh turmeric
  • 4 carrots
  • 1cm fresh ginger
  • 1 orange
  • ½ lemon
  • 3 stalks celery

5-Ingredient Detox Smoothie via Minimalist Baker

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 cup organic spinach or kale
  • 1/2 cup bananas, previously peeled, sliced & frozen
  • 1 Tbsp flax seed meal
  • 1 cup fruit juice
  • Optional: 2 Tbsp silken tofu

  • 1 beetroot
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 red apples
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 stick of celery
