With cutouts and slashes leading the runway at Versace, thigh high slits and showing some skin was the theme of the scene. The color palette was strong, with bright hues spread throughout, and great tribal detail sashaying its way in and out of intricate gowns. Everything screamed sex appeal, in the best way
possible. Detailed and overstated in just the right amounts, the Versace show was a killer runway. Noted for the next evening out: skin is in.
Then, there was the men’s Balmain collection. First thought was: borrow from the boys. Military royalty meets serious print action, silk, fur, and everything else us women need in our closets. On a scale from one to ten, creativity topped the charts. Between the army style and the drop-crotch pants, the collection was definitely statement-making and bold. The question is, is it wearable or over the top?
