Last stop: PFW
I think it’s only fair to start with a quick Barbara Bui recap, since I’m decked out in the designer’s fall/winter 2015-2016 attire, totally love it, and found the show absolutely stunning. There was an abundance of leather pieces, which were all showstoppers,
plus a strong color palette including gorgeous tones like eggplant and bright coral. Fringe is still going strong, and when paired with amazing suede, well…amazing things happen. The collection resembled pieces that are strong and beautifully tailored, but easy to wear for the most part. (Meaning come spring season, I can’t wait to hopefully get them into my wardrobe and daily life.) In the case of today’s attire, I’m all about this military green color, and am always crushing on Bui’s jackets. The fabric of the skirt and top happens to also be a little…dreamy.
If you haven’t been exposed to the works of Parme Marin, it’s definitely worth getting to know this French designer’s jewelry. With handmade statement necklaces from Morocco in abundance, I was instantly taken in by the fact that they’re light, fun, and perfect for everyday.
