The Spiritual Edition
Even if New Year’s resolutions aren’t exactly your cup of tea, let’s embark on this journey together–it’s easier with a friend along the way. As for me, I’m setting my energy towards 5 attainable and positive goals, things that will enhance my lifestyle, energy levels, and overall being. See below, then join in on the fun.
Start calling your dreams your “plans.” It makes it more real, and therefore more reachable. Accept that if something doesn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be, and that the right doors will open in time.
Be kind. Especially with yourself. We are always the hardest judges on ourselves, so learn to do little things like give yourself a compliment every morning. It will boost your spirit and create positive vibes 🙂
Love your body regardless of the number on the scale. When you feel good on the inside, it will be reflected on the outside.
Trust your soul. It already knows what your head has not figured out yet, hence have faith in the future, and life will only get easier. Trust that everything is working out in your favor. All is in divine order.
Sleep more. If you’re stuck on a project and/or your next plan, sometimes the best thing to do is simply give up (for now) and go to bed. Our brains make creative connections and clear out toxins while we sleep. Taking that break might be what you need most. Your peace of mind is more important than your deliverables.
Be excited about the new version you want to become, but don’t push yourself over the edge with unrealistic expectations. Make this positive and gradual, therefore attainable. Trace your thoughts back to the roots. If you’re looking to lose weight, and you’re unhappy with the way you look, focus on your goal and be persistent, but also pay attention to this by way of self-acceptance. Learn to accept yourself and guide yourself in the right direction, and always strive to be the best version of yourself. Don’t forget: we’re only human!
Last personal goal: I need to stop procrastinating!! It’s not as spiritual as the rest, but it’s something I need to work on. Okay, now it’s time for everyone to share their own New Year’s goals, plans, and resolutions. Anyone?!
