Runway season is here, and the catwalks are bustling with all things fall. From the frilly, flowy and floral hits at Jason Wu, topped off with asymmetrical shoulders and hems, to the abundance of the wild and wonderful at Jeremy Scott, New York Fashion Week is off to a great start. Here are some of the looks on our radar (and mental wish lists) to add to yours!
There was also Altuzarra, whose Shakespearian vibes and royal tones brought forth serious coats and velvet to the forefronts. Aside from black and navy, a brighter yellow and jewel-toned floral bordeaux roamed throughout embellished coats, dresses and more. Okay, and Jonathan Simkhai, whose recent collections have brought forth the perfect selection for the girl who’s out and about. From delicate and intricate dresses, to some serious fur, these are the easy go-to pieces that you can just throw on and kill it wherever you go.
Alexander Wang stuck with a dark palette in the beginning, paired with some oversized coats and large silver buttons sewn along different garments. Everything was essentially black, plaid and gray but it is definitely the kinds of leather and dress basics you’ll be craving around fall.
Oh, and those sleeves on that chunky cream Prabal Gurung sweater. Please tell me that’s not the ultimate combination of chic and cozy you want to be wrapped in for life. And a collection of dresses that know how to party.
