Today I went for a head-to-toe SS15 Milly ensemble to get in the groove of welcoming this season’s new trends. And after seeing what she has coming for us, this won’t be the first of the pieces I get my hands on! I’m ready to bring these booties back, they were a staple in my colder weather days and now that my feet got a nice little rest yesterday, I’m back in action.
I stopped by the Milly showroom to meet with the designer, reminisce about her inspiration and play a little dress up. I also got to spend some time with my lovely Brazilian friend, founder of the youtube channels Make up by Camilla; I attended the launch of her new polish line ( Yenzah x Camilla Coelho) in the Maria Bonita NY soho salon.
MM6 Maison Martin Margiela epitomized the cool girl you want to snap on the streets. Flowy, silky, oversized, neutrals, denim, fringe–all of it. And hello perfect little denim dress, come to mama.
Milly may require a second glance just to confirm it was indeed…Milly. Lots of sheer action, midriff baring and pure awesomeness went down at that show. PS. That blue coat…yes, it’s a go. That color! Plus, I felt extremely privelaged to be wearing an outfit from the upcoming collection.
Oscar de La Renta brought incredible girly, flirty, gingham and feminine pieces to the forefront. Pale pinks and pastel blues, topped off with gorgeous flowers makes for the best in girly girl!
Thom Browne made us want to frame each and every piece and cherish it as a work of art. The creativity, colors and textures meshed together to bring forth the work of an artistic genius.
Zac Posen embodies the look of a sleek, sophisticated woman to a T. Let’s just say that if you walk into a party wearing one of those dresses…Lord, let’s just work on getting our hands on them!
Rodarte killed it with those lace up shoes and incredible textures. The creativity and intricate detail behind every thread was evident. Oh, and those coats make me actually want a freezing winter. Don’t mark my word on the freezing part…
Jeremy Scott brought Woodstock back. Psychedelic, groovy and uber colorful outfits on display. Plus a little collab with Miley Cyrus, as Scott showcased part of her “Dirty Hippie” artful headpieces on the runway.
