NYFW day#2, steamy days, stilettos, taxi horns: it’s show time!
Here’s was my daily ensemble! Shot in the middle of Lincoln center concrete jungle (believe me it’s a challenge). Secret weapon: mini backpack to store a life in the day.
Then let’s talk about next summer trends and the collections I’ve loved so far….
Zimmerman nailed every single piece—from lacy fairytale dresses to flowy skirts and embellished dresses. The collection featured the best vacation pieces (please enter my suitcase and come away with me!)
Alexander Wang rocked the sporty look (well, if this is what athletic looks like, then…I’m heading to the US Open now). Daring and almost futuristic dresses in bright tones–tight, short, and needed.
Jason Wu mastered the perfect mix from everyday easy pieces in simple prints and great tones, to impeccably sequined dresses that scream sleek, sophisticated and funk at the same time. Yes.
Ostwald Helgason had a great balance of structured and free-spirited pieces. Neutral silks are always a staple (forever and ever), and the school girl-esque vibe with jackets and skirts makes back to school seem like more fun than ever.
Prabal Gurung had it all: cutouts, colors, knits, texture—everything came to life beautifully, and now its time to emerge into our wardrobes. He makes me rethink the standard pantsuit…in the best way possible.
