We all have those days. We flip through our wardrobes, overflowing with color and prints and then without a second thought, pick out a black top and black bottom and call it a day. They don’t say “black is the new black” for nothing. But essentially, hello Springtime and bright whites.
Day one at NYFW reaffirms our monochrome fixations. Bright whites were strutted head to toe, and the all-black-everything made its mark as well. And it’s spring 2014 we are looking at here, so…of course there were some florals!
Runway shots: BCBG, Tadashi Shoji and Richard Chai Love. BCBG had a nice flowy factor going on in the collection, where whites, creams and limited prints made for a beautiful collection. Shoji described his collection as “Sweet liberation,” which was gracefully embraced by the delicateness of the silhouettes.
