the last stretch
As Paris Fashion Week came to a halt, a trail of top notch designers left some key takeaways with us. From print mixing and layering to denim, floral, plaid, and oversized coats, it’s the season to explore what’s out there and give your upcoming fall wardrobe a little revamp.
Miu Miu went on a serious denim spree, while throwing in some military style coats, and pairing plaid with brocade-type flowers, and other prints. There seemed to be several varying themes intertwined here as well. There was a play on Victorian attire in the mix as well.
Louis Vuitton did a lot of layering and asymmetrical pieces. The ladies were sporting a bold dark lip with bottoms cropped just above the ankle, some cropped jackets, lots of leather, and a few military details as well. The collection was a bit on the sportier side, with Nicolas Ghesquière at the helm, and everything he did was a total hit.
Kenzo nailed it on the print mixing, while also flaunting some layering, and retro…revelations. The neon tiger stripes were hard to miss, as were the bold, oversized coats, floral prints and beaming energy exerted from practically every piece in the collection.
