The countdown has begun! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with heart-shaped sweets? Whether your enjoying them with friends, family or another lucky someone, these are the no-fail approach to show some love. PS. Check out that brownie tart…I think I made my choice.

Heart pops with sprinkles: any baked chocolate cake recipe, buttercream, candy melts, edible decorations, small heart cookie cutter

Other heart cake pops: 2 cups sugar, 3 1/4 cups flour, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cups unsalted butter, 1 1/4 cups milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 4 eggs

Raspberry Linzer heart cookies: 2 1/2 sticks lightly salted butter, 3/4 cups granulated sugar, 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (plus additional for rolling), 1/2 cup slivered almonds, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1 cup seedless raspberry jam, powdered sugar

Brownie tart: 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, 3 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, 3 extra-large eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules, 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 cup chopped walnuts, 2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream and a 9-inch tart pan is all you need.
