The legendary Schiaparelli house will be making its debut in Paris 40 years after losing its founder, Elsa. With a new creative director on the scene, the Italian Marco Zanini will bring his talents to the crowd on January 20th.

In the last few years, the Schiaparelli name has garnered attention and enhanced its recognition. In May, there was a Schiapparelli and Prada exhibition at the MET in New York. In July, Christian Lacroix paid his tribute to the designer with several works of art. And now, with a haute couture show about to unveil and an auction at Christie’s with all of Schiap’s art, clothing and furniture going for sale on January 23rd, there’s a lot to be excited about!

The images show the designer’s evolution throughout the years, as well as her influence on beauty (Hello Nars lipstick and nail polish in ‘Schiap’!), some of her dresses, Lacroix’s collection, and Zanini, the latest designer.

Will the signature fuchsia pink or “lobster” dress be parading down the runway? Who knows…!
