First in town!
Balmain has officially opened in London and this is…pretty dangerous news. The place is as amazing as the pieces themselves, and it was opened by the trendy Claudia Ruimy, a fashionable Frenchie living in London since 12 years. Ruimy has always been a fan of Olivier Rousteing work, and finally decided to take this passion to the next level by opening the brand’s first UK store.
This woman has a serious eye and knows how to make the perfect selection of clothing. Just looking at her makes you want the entire collection. With Ruimy and renowned architect Joseph Dirand joining forces for the store, it was destined to be sleek, spacious, modern, and clean looking, The entire store felt very homey and welcoming, almost as if you were in a comfortable and beautiful living room with impeccable taste (the lamps, chairs, and all!)
Let’s start with this purse, which is a collaboration between Aurelie Bidermann, the amazing French jewelry designer, and Olivier Rousteing. It’s a great large tote that fits your world while also looking stylish and not bulky, and easy to tote around. The color features a nice worn-in look, while the pendant adds that little detail that perfects it. My other favorites are the pleated jumpsuit that I slipped on and basically fell in love with and of course every leather pieces. The lester jackets are timeless and serious works of art.
