Spotlight: Hair Trends
Part of a woman’s daily endeavors include waking up in the morning and praying for the fate of our hair. Is it too puffy or frizzy to wear down? Does it need to be washed, blow-dried, or ironed? Not working out in general so it gets rolled up into a lovely top-knot or chignon? The options are semi-endless, and the styles are always making their way back around.
As per the looks on trending radars and runways that we’d like to implement pronto…there’s quite a few to throw a glance at and take note. Braids are often top of mind, whether loose, tight, fishtail, or French. Plus, even the cornrow bun look that was on display at the Valentino runway makes for a cool ‘do.
Bangs are an easy add-on that make a big difference. This look from Rebecca Minkoff has a nice blonde hue mixed with a low-maintenance air. Rodarte had some awesome metal accessories that add a fun, feminine touch to an otherwise simple look. The relatively messy bun is another staple that never really fades, and Dolce & Gabbana mastered it nicely on the runway too. Playing with your part so it’s not perfectly down the line is another trend to keep in mind. Isabel Marant featured a nice light zig-zag pattern that was subtle.
Ombre is out. These are the new headturners, plus a few tried and true personally tested go-to salons that work special wonders in the beauty department:
